Prodigal, Seeking The Lord’s Heartbeat


Seventeen years ago, Bobby and I came face to face with a situation that was caused not by our doing but by someone else. We could have approached this situation with denial, blame, running from it or looking for someone to rescue us from the situation. We chose to walk through this situation with all individuals involved with care, guidance from God, and seeking spiritual maturity from all parties involved.

At first, the individuals that caused the situation seemed to want to mature in their walk with God; they seemed to want to provide the best for each person. They were taking responsibility for their actions that caused the situation.

What Builds Character?

Proverbs 20:9Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin”?

No one is without sin. As soon as we confess our sin and repent, sinful thoughts and actions begin to creep back into our lives. Thank God that He provides forgiveness and ongoing cleansing moment by moment with His grace and mercy when we ask for it.

When the winds, lightning, and thunder of adversity started shaking the ground beneath our feet, Bobby and I took cover in the only place and with the only person that could and would carry us through the forceful assault.
