Truth always Revealed
Hebrews 4: 12-13, For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
God continually shows me that what is in the dark will come to the light sooner or later, whether it is my own actions and attitudes or others actions and attitudes. God is a God of love, compassion, mercy, and justice. He will not allow sin to continue in any of His children’s hearts.
Most of our lessons from God come from the natural. God uses the natural to help us understand the supernatural.
After the tragic death of my father, the cancer, the first time, was hidden deep in my mother’s body. The trauma of my father’s death brought to light that which was secretly hidden deep inside my mother.
Luke 12:2-3, There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner room will be proclaimed from the roof.
A couple of weeks back a comment was made to one person concerning the management of what God had provided for material needs being used God’s way and not this world’s way. This comment has brought to light what was secretly hidden in the depth of this person and other’s heart as well.
1 Corinthians 4: 1-5, v-5, Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
That comment in turn has brought light to what was hidden deep inside this person and other’s heart. In the same way, that my father’s tragic death brought to the surface what was hidden inside my mother’s body.
What was inside my mother could have taken her from me two years after my father died. The cancer was eating away at her from the inside. Sin does the same for us. Just as cancer kills the body, sin kills the heart and soul.
Ephesians 5: 1-21, v- 8-11, For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
As children of light, our actions should reflect our faith. Our lives should reflect God. When God’s children are not reflecting Him, their deeds need to be exposed because our silence may be interpreted as approval. God needs His children to take a stand for what is true and holy. As God’s children, we must keep our standards high, act wisely, use His resources wisely, and help and provide for others when we can.
